Our Purpose

The Iowa Board for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (IBTSA) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to enhancing sexual offender treatment in the state of Iowa.  IBTSA provides the certification process for Sex Offender Treatment Professionals in Iowa and sets requirements for both education and experience to obtain certification.  IBTSA provides training opportunities as well as being a state wide resource for professional development in the field of sexual offender treatment.  Additionally, IBTSA is a networking resource for those seeking certified Sex Offender Treatment Providers in their area of the state.
